Hello Chris,

   no I did not loose my marbles..... the number 4 in the 4 snarf
   message which stood alone did not count as a snarf.
   Only the implantation of 4s into genuine English words 
   are snarfable.

And this number is also snarfable,,, for its German pronounciation.

In my entry with "20", I was referring to the
French pronounciation of 20 which sounds like
the French word for "wine".

So I meant: "Vin et les homes sont ma vie"
Which translates to:

"Wine and men are my life."

I looked that one up in the dictionary and found 2 explanations:

   1) small thick pan cake
   2) British colloquialism for women

Which one is it????

And.... it is never fair to explain an unknown term with another
unknown one.....

    Actually, not quite Martina.  The second explanation of 'crumpet' was
    derogatory towerds women, but it's still not the same thing as a
    'strumpet'.  A strumpet would be more like a sleezy woman that sleeps

       And of course this note here as well, because of special reasons.
       A rathole is also a place where things can be discussed without
       restrictions, without limiting to a topic's title. And its
       contents can be deleted any time.
       (Is that right, mods?)
    
       And interestingly enough: in German the word "Rat hole" means 
       "get advice".
