| It appears that the deal by which Alain Prost will incorporate Ligier
in his brand new PGP (Prost Grand Prix) team is now completed. The new
team will debut in 1998. I suppose the official FIA manufacturer will
remain Ligier.

| Prost cannot get clearance to change the team's name, the road block
being one Eddie Jordan. This is almost certainly due to Prost's plans
to go racing with Peugeot next year.
Methinks that building a new team along national lines is doomed to
failure.

I know but that is a minor problem. Prost can race as PGP with Ligier
cars. That's what Larrousse did with Lola.
