|  |     Actually John Barnard's contract with Ferrari has termintaed. Barnard
    has bought back FD&D from Ferrari. At this point I think he wants to
    work as an independant advisor (for multiple clients) until a contract
    is signed with TWR.

    Just how good is Barnard's track record? I fail to understand why he
    has such a reputation. He designed a couple of good chassis when at
    Mclaren, while the team, incidentally, had the best drivers and the
    best engine around.
    
    He's hardly a Chapman or Fohgieri.

    To be complete he later did the same at Benetton and Ferrari. 
    
    I agree that his latest job (for Ferrari) did not impress anyone.
    
    On the Arrows/TWR topic I thought Barnard (and his team) was working as
    a contractor on specific projects. This way he could also work for
    other customers, like Prost ...
