939.0. "Space Program Volunteers Needed" by TROOA::SKLEIN (Nulli Secundus) Tue May 09 1995 19:21

Subject: Space program volunteers needed
From: [email protected] (John House)
Organization: OuterNet

If you've ever wanted to get really involved with the private enterprise space
program, then the following message is for you.

The Outer Space Development Company (OUSPADEV) will be designing and building a
full-sized prototype of a typical module of its planned Space Station Prelude.
This 4m x 12m cylinder will be designed and built this fall using 100%
volunteers. The volunteers will consist of industry professionals ranging from
public relations people and lawyers, to mechanical and aerospace engineers, and
high school and college students in virtually any field. The volunteers will
work together with industrial leaders and a Fort Lauderdale, Florida science
museum to build a model that is fully functional given the requirements of a
module to be displayed and walked through.

You need not be a resident of Fort Lauderdale to participate in this exciting
endeavor. There will be some functions that can be done over the internet.

If you are interested in volunteering you should log onto the company's bulletin
board system for more details on how to participate in this exciting project. To
receive your log-on account name and password, send e-mail to:
[email protected]. There is no cost to log on to the company's BBS.

John House, President, The Outer Space Development Company
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, U.S.A.

| | Yes I'm interested. However, there is a minor problem. I live Sydney
Australia and don't know what I can do to help ove here. You mentioned
help can be carried through the internet but I have no access into the
    internet.

Certainly you do have access to the Internet. We're the Internet
company, didn't you know? I can help you with the details but maybe
    that's better taken offline.

With reference to .0 I would think that the statement about the BBS
being no cost would be incorrect. You would probably end up at ISD
rates and so would want to communicate via email. If you sign up, we
will expect regular reports posted here. (-:

You misunderstand. When I said I could provide details I meant details
on accessing various Internet services from round here (and if you have
problems email me). I know nothing at all about the organisation
    mentioned in .0.
