    Anyone,

A client is comparing the speed of ethernet and FDDI is the same when a
PING command is used. Is the PING command reliable, is it the right
    tool ?

    tnx

| What O/S? Many do not the resolution to show the difference in speed. Secondly, sending a 512 bit message is 51.2us on Ethernet and 6.4us on FDDI (excluding token acquisition time). That will get lost in the protocol processing time to handle the echo request/reply. | |||||
