re: SNMP and DEFPA running on NT v3.51 I have a customer who is trying to manage FDDIcontrollers installed in NT servers using Spectrum Element Mgr (Cabletron's NMS) and is unable to access any of the FDDI MIB OIDs (RFC 1512, I suppose). Could someone clarify the situation: 1. As shipped (out-of-the-box) will the cards support RFC 1512 on NT? 2. If the answer is NO to the above, will "NICWORKS" provide this functionality ? Thanks, J-YE. [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

No. We presently do not have a SNMP co-agent for RFC1512 that runs
over our DEFEA or DEFPA NDIS 3 drivers. This is something we plan on
providing, at some point. Off the subject, we do provide an SNMP
co-agent (both RFC1512 and DEC Extended MIB) for the NetWare server
platform.

Not exactly. You won't be able to use a MIB browser (such as is
supplied with Spectrum) to access the data, but you will be able to
get/set RFC1512 information locally using NICWORKS/FDDI.
If you have further questions on this, please let me know.

Larry
