I am new to the NPBU and a little fresh faced therefore can anybody tell me what the replacement is for the DEFCN-HF. Is it a case of using individual MOD-PMD's nowadays? Kind regards all..... Justin Sheriff NPBU UK.

| The DEFCN-HF is a field installable FDDI 6-port SAS "M" module option
for the DECconcentrator 500. If your customer needs a module to install
in the DC500, no replacement exists.

You can use the DECconcentrator 900MX either with a docking station or
DECHUB900 as an alternative. The DEF6M-MA is a 6-port FDDI concentrator
module with ANSI multimode MOD PMDs (DEF6X-MA plus 6 DEFXM-AA).

If you have a Dual Ring and need to connect the DC900, ports 1 and 6
will function as A and B ports and ports 2,3,4,5 can be "M" ports.

    Regards,

    James
