After installing a defea-da on a compaq prolinia they power up and
get the message "full duplex is supported only on point to point
connections". Is this and informational message or is it an error
message. Tehy are configured for full duplex and it is a point
to point connection. After the system boots everything seems to
work ok. The are running netware 4 not shure of the version.
thanks

Yes, this is purely informational. When you specify FULLDUPLEX=ON on
your MSL driver load line, you're telling the driver to enable full
duplex mode on the adapter. If the MSL adapter is connected
point-point with a similarly enabled MSL adapter, they'll negotiate and
enter full-duplex state.
Another (albeit more expensive) way to get full duplex is to connect
each MSL adapter to a Digital GIGAswitch/FDDI which supports FDDI full
duplex on its ports.
