    Hi, 
    
    I have this customer who wants to buy DECbridge either 5xx or 6xx. They
    also have 4 x LANbridge 200s on Multimode fibers.
    
    They want to control all these bridges DECbridge 5xx, 6xx and Lanbridge
    200 with customised software in the following manner:
    
    i. Software (to be developed) sits on the DEC ultrix ver 4.38
    ii. Activate and DEactivate ports on the DECbridges and LANbridge with
    software automation ?
    iii. Can they do so with SNMP software (developed with some programming
    tool ) ? Are DECbridges 5xx, 6xx SNMP based ? Are LANbridges 200
    capable of SNMP management ?
    iv. What type of SNMP software should they buy if they need to write a
    customised software to activate and deactivate ports on the bridges
    in order to do automation of software ? Where can I locate the
    programming interfaces eg parameters for interfaces
    activiation/deactiviation, access to the decbridge ?
    v. Can a Unix script access the DECbridge and LANbridges 200 in the
    telnet session (if there is one available) ?

    I don't think you can buy DECbridge 5xx or 6xx products anymore. You
    need to sell them either a DECswitch 900EF or PEswitch 900TX.
