We are looking for the values for Transmit launch signals and Receive input signals for FDDI fiber MIC ports. An installer asked us this question specifically for the DECswitch 900EF. We have also been asked this several times for other products. Are the values the same for all FDDI MMF device ports? I have checked the 900EF FDDI port specification, the functional hardware specification, and other resources. The values will be in -dBm. Thanks! Rick Blanchette TCC Network Products Support

     Single-mode PMDs
        Transmitter Minimum Optical Power:      -8  dBm
        Transmitter Maximum Optical Power:      -2 dBm
        Receiver Minimum Sensitivity:           -30 dBm
        Receiver Maximum Optical Input Power:   -14 dBm
        Resultant Optical Power Budget =       12 to 22 dB.
