| | Is FDDI Auto Healing enabled or disabled?
Why are you resetting your modules?

| | Hi,

FDDI Auto Healing is disabled (Default).
If the ring is normally running, there is no need to reset a module.
But I have tried to get the ring running for the first time - and
therefore is sometimes the need to reset a module. Also if one module
goes bad, there will be the same - no more connections on the ring!

    Best regards
    Franz

| | What do you mean by the "modules are losing their connections"? Do you
have two stations on the ring that can no longer communicate? Or do you
mean the Hubwatch Lan Interconnect screen shows them disconnected?

Are you making some connection change that causes a switch port to
    start pre-forwarding?

| | Hi Mike,

the two stations still have connection (ring in - ring out). The
HUBwatch LAN Interconnect screen shows them disconnected.

There have been no changes on the switch ports to start pre-forwarding.
My reported problem occurs, i.e. by resetting the PEswitch or the
    DECconcentrator900.

| | Okay, if the modules really are connected but Hubwatch shows otherwise,
try using the "refresh" button on the LAN interconnect screen. If
hubwatch times out talking to the hub it can show things as
    disconnected.

| | Hi Mike,

you're right! The connections are still o.k. but HUBwatch shows them
disconnected. I've tried it with two HUBwatch Systems: In the time,
one system shows the disconnections, from the other system I can still
see the connections; after a refresh it's o.k. on both systems.

By the way, now I learned also something about "auto healing".

    Thanks and a good time
