I want to know if there is a hardware compatibility list
regarding our DEC FDDIcontroller family.
To be more specific: A customer has an Intel based AT&T 3416 XL Novell
server. From the driver point of view it seems to be OK. But I would
like to know if any body had experience with this server and DEFPA or
DEFEA adapters (I am not sure whether 3416XL is PCI or EISA based at
the moment)

We don't have a HCL per se, but we have tested the cards in numerous
Digital systems and non Digital systems. We haven't run in the 3416 XL
box, but I have brought the cards up on AT&T S40 and S10 model systems.
I'd definitely say give it a shot. Pull the latest DEFEA and DEFPA
kits off our server or Internet sites (see Topic 9 in NOTED::ETHERWORKS
notes conference) and read the \RELEASE.NOT note in each driver kit
before installing the driver. There are OS/driver-specific release
notes that are important.
If you run into any trouble, post a note here.
