    Hello ..... 
    
    I have a customer with a strange console message which appears
    frequently.
    
    ->>>  fta0 illegal length packet dropped length=17 
    
    This occurs on both Alpha's (A1000) .... which are running OSF 3.2a
    within an ASE environment.
    The Alpha's are providing NFS to pc on the network and this problem
    appears to have arrived around the time they were making changes to
    this back in August.
    TCP/IP is the only protocol stack used.
