Do we still sell an FDDI controller for the ISA bus?
I can't seem to find it mentioned anywhere?
We need a bunch of EISA cards for the Sables and ISA cards for the PCs.
Thanks,
Mark

Howdy,
We do not, nor have plans to make a ISA FDDI card. The bus is to slow
to handle the throughput. Also since ISA is only 16bits the PDQ
architecture (being 32bit) does not easialy map into that space.
We looked into the cost of such an adapter and decided that it would
not be cost effective to create such a card. Most of our competitors
have agreed, the only one I can think of that offers an ISA FDDI card
is NPI.
Since most of PC vendors are now making PCI/ISA system, they will be
able to get on the ring with our new PCI adapter due out in the early
fall. This card will be cheaper and much faster than any ISA card.
