     I am interested in determining the range of FDDI link distances that
     are installed.  What is a typical distance; what is the maximum 
     distance?  I am not asking about the ANSI PMD max spec of 2 km.
     I'd like to understand what is actually used. Multimode and 
     single-mode link data would be helpful.
