    Hi...
      I have a customer with a 5000/260 running 4.4.  It is on the network
    with an alpha box running 2.0.  Both have defta-fa's.  The alpha box
    has no problem, but the ultrix box sees up to 20% packet loss on pings,
    and after a few days, the message "hardware adapter reset" (or
    something like this appears on the console).  Nothing is in the
    error log.  Eventually, it quits working.  A reboot clears it up again,
    but the same thing starts happening immediately.  They have tried 3
    different defta's (with both 1.0 and 1.1 firmware).  They will swap the
    defta from the alpha to the decstation (and vice versa) later today,
    but thought I would check on this...
