I looked at the OSF topics in here but could not find any info
    regarding my problem.

We have 2 systems here running OSF V1.3 They each have a 10 meg
board and a 100 meg board. When the run the sysetm with the 10 meg
board everything works ok and they can talk to any system on the net.

When they run on the fddi board the only systems they can talk to
are the systems on the fddi ring. Once they try to get out of the ring
to any other node they are unable to connect. We have check the 620
bridge and the 510 bridge but nothing is beting filtered.

    Any clues at all??

| Are the FDDI/ethernet bridges set to fragment the IP packets?

The IP packets going out on FDDI are around 4400 bytes long. Packets
on an ethernet can only be around 1500 bytes long. The DECbridge 5xx
and 6xx bridge have the ability to fragment IP packets and thereby
solve this problem, but that feature can be disabled. I think it is
    enabled by default.
