    The following problem was observed at one of our customer site.

    We had a DECSERVER 200 being UNABLE to DOWN line load with the
    following Configuration:
    Port status (F= Forward and B=Backup ) and
    we expected MOP request to take the path :
    DS200 -> Port3 of DB620_2 -> Port2 of DB620_2 -> Port2 of
    DB620_1 -> port1(FDDI) of DB620_1 -> VAX 9000 (Load host).
    and from ther down line load the DS200.
    All port costs were set to default value 10.

                                                 --------

    By changing Port cost to 30 on Port2 of DB620_2 we had that port go
    into backup and Fibre port on the same bridge go to Forward state
    and the DS200 Down line loaded OK from VAX9000 -> Port1 of DB620_2 ->
    Port2 of DB620_2 -> DS200.

    Can some one explain why the initial setup did not work?

    Is it possible that DB620 does not bridge from Port 2 to Port3 -
    i.e No Ethernet to Ethrtnet but only FDDI to Ethernet.

    Customer wants an explaination for all this

    Thanks for any feedback.
