Matt, the DEFTA I used during development of the Ultrix DEFTA driver
	was 0.9a, I have since received a version 1.0.  I don't know
	what the "latest and greatest" version is, but since it was
	a new board, I don't know if DECndu was used...

| 1165.2 | V1.1 DEFTA on the firmware CD | JEDI::CAUDILL | Kelly - Net Tech Support - 226-6815 | Wed Apr 13 1994 11:44 | 18 |
| | I've been using the turbochannel module update utility on the firmware
    CD which I get a new one of every time I receive a new DEC OSF/1 AXP CD.

    The most recent one Firmware CD is labeled V2.7. It has the DEC 3000 V3.2
    firmware, the DEC 4000 V3.3 firmware, etc...

    I boot it with:

    	>>> boot -fl 0,80 dka400

    and it prompts:

    	filename:

    and I answer [turbochannel]tc_v1_2.exe. Then you get a brief "menu"
    and some help.

    This has been updating my DEFTAs to V1.1.

| | I was just about to check/update another DEFTA that was just stuck into
    a flamingo here and this one is weirder still.

    The update utility says this one claims to be a PMAF-FA V5.3a.

    So, should I upgrade it to V1.1???

| | Now that I have booted up OSF with this DEFTA gen'd, on boot up, it
    claims to be f/w rev 0.7a and h/w rev 2.

    So I'm loading it with V1.1. Must be some confusion between the way the
    update utility expects the rev numbers and the way 0.7a presented them.
