I have a customer who just installed a dual VAX 7610 cluster. They
bought Ethernet cards, but would prefer to move to FDDI for
performance. However, they feel that SAS DEMFAs are a single point of
failure for the systems, and they can't see paying over $100K for 4
DEMFAs and a concentrator (especially when the HP system sitting right
next to the VAX provides DAS FDDI cards for about $3K each). What are
we doing to introduce a DAS DEMFA, and get the price more in line with
other vendors FDDI cards ??
