    I have a customer that wants to buy the DEC2000/300 running OpenVMS
    AXP, they also want to connect it to FDDI, am I correct in thinking
    that the DEC FDDIcontroller/EISA would work okay ? just that the
    launch article (sales update Aug 1993) did'nt mention OpenVMS.
    
    If I'm not correct, how do I connect the DEC2000/300 to FDDI ?
    
    Does anyone know where on-line Nets and Comms buyers guide is ?

	The DEFEA is controller to use. Your problem is finding out whether VMS supports it yet (I know DEC OSF/1 will support it in V2.0). Since the driver is almost identical to the DEFTA and DEFAA (which VMS already has), I'd be surpised if it wasn't already done.

	The VMS driver for the DEFEA ships in V1.5-1H1. However, the support is latent pending completion of field test and qual which is currently in progress. - Dick

	OSF support is also latent. Driver ships with the latest release but testing is ongoing. Expect support in Q3FY93.
