Are we allowed to mix DEFCN-NA (4 port card) and DEFCN-HA (6 port
card) in the same DEcconcentrator 500. I have two DECconcentrators and
each have one DEFCN-NA. I plan to instal one DECCN-HF in each unit.

-HA says factory installed and -HF says field installed. What
really is the difference between factory installed and field installed?

Does the 'dash' number change just for putting the board in, at the
    factory ?

Yes. This is a perfectly valid configuration, provided firmware version
    3.2 is installed.

Place of installation is the only difference. Otherwise, they are
    identical.

| From the Author of .1. Also DEFCN-LF (lower power 4 port module) can be mixed with DEFCN-HF (6 port module). | |||||
