Hello All,
Does anyone know what is the latest flash prom version for a
DEFZA-CA on a vaxstation 4000/90, and how does one tell what the version
is on a running machine. Also if it has to be upgraded how is this
achieved.
thanks in advance
Graeme

The latest DEFZA released ucode is 1.2. Since NDU
will not work with VMS for DEFZA, you could see if this
works ( never tried it on this adapter...)
$ ana/sys
SDA> sho lan/dev=fza0
A feww screens in you should see something that looks
like this; ( except it should be for FZA and not EXA of course..)
LAN Data Structures
-------------------
-- EXA Device Information 9-JUN-1993 16:20:22 --
LSB address 80534B70 Active unit count 1
LAN version A4000001 05052025 Driver version 03A50000 05050017
LAN code address 8052ECB8 Driver code address 8052CE94
Device name EX_DEMNA Device type 36
Device version 00000000 08020C03 DLL type CSMACD

|_________This is the ucode rev field.
Give it a try it. The alternative is to bring it to a Ultrix machine that has
NDU installed....

Have tried SDA> sho lan/dev fca, and the device version shows all
zeroes, which cannot even be calculated into version 1.0.
