891.0. "FDDI support on Alpha/OpenVMS, ready now?" by HGSW67::NICHOLASHO (Nicholas Ho, Hong Kong EIS) Mon Mar 08 1993 04:18
Hi,
From page 1.2 of "System & Options Catalog" issue Nov 1992, it
states that FDDI support in all Alpha systems will only be
available in "upcoming system release". I have checked the SPD of
"OpenVMS AXP Operating System V1.0". In Appendix A, it states
that DEFZA (for TurboChannel) and DEMFA (for XMI) are supported.
Which source should I believe? I am helping a customer to find a
solution to connect his DEC 3000/DEC 4000 to a FDDI network.
Thanks for any clarification.
Regards
Nick

| Trust the SPD. OpenVMS AXP V1.0 supports the DEFZA and the DEMFA.
