675.0. "IBM's FDDI device and third pary alternatives..." by VFOVAX::STOWERS () Tue Aug 18 1992 12:05
I am looking for any and all information about IBM's MVS implementation
of TCP/IP. For several different projects, one of my customers is
considering using TCP/IP over FDDI as the interconnect between VMS and
MVS. (I will be getting information from the I*M folks but am looking
for any real world experiences....
Also, if anyone has any details on IBM's FDDI device (3172?) I would be
appreciative. There has been mumbling on the customer side about an
alternative device from Network Systems (?) that would also be a
channel attach device.
Any help or pointers are appreciated. I have snarfed bit of data
already from DIR/TITLE and SEARCH commands.
