Gentlemen,
I recently installed a DEFCN-SA in a DEFCN-AB (firmware 2.3).
The slot where it is installed in was previously occupied by a
4-port Fiber card.
After installation the DEFCN-SA doesn't pass its selftest, and the
red "module fault" led remains on.
The installation procedure doesn't mention any configuration
restrictions.
Does anyone know if
- Some hardware/software settings have to be done after replacing
a fiberboard with a STPboard?
- DECconcentrator 500 firmware 2.3 DOES in fact support a DEFCN-SA?
Naturally, I could just have a broken board, so I'll try to replace it
in the next couple of day's

Hello,
You should get a copy of V3.1 code (the latest). V2.3 does not support
6 port boards.
