Can someone confirm or deny that from the OOB port on the DEFCN, I will be able to disable the A and/or B ports, and that by doing so, there is NO LIGHT transmitted after the port is disabled? Also, does anyone have a pointer to online doc that describes the OOB management in detail? Thanks... Bob

If you disable a port, the light is off. That applies across the board. paul | |||||

Yes, you can use the Out of Band Management (OBM) to disable the
PHY port.
The DEFCN installation manual(? part #) has a section on Using OBM.
That's the only place I've seen it described.
