190.0. "Interoperability Report?" by AKO569::JOY (Get a life!) Thu Dec 20 1990 13:18

    We are getting a lot of questions from the field pertaining to
    interoperability of our equipment with other vendors' equipment. I know
    we've been doing so interoperability testing in the lab but I was
    wondering if there is a plan to publish a list or a report of each of
    the vendors we've tested against and what the results were. I think
    this is going to be a critical issue in the very near future and we
    need to have some sort of formal response when asked if we interoperate
    with vendor A or B. I understand the various levels of interoperability
    issues, but I think if we were to publish something that said, "With
    Vendor A, Digital's products could coexist on the ring, participate in
    the claim process and exchange data packets, etc....".
    
    Is anyone looking into publishing something along those lines?
