Hallo,
The German PTT plans to install a FDDI-Network in a city so that
different companies can be connected to this FDDI-Backbone. It is
important for DEC to have a solution because all our customer will look
at this Test.
One point is mandatory: we must support monomode fiber. The
installation will be in the biginning of 1991.
I suppose we don't support monomode until 1991. So do anybody know
something about a adapter which converts multimode to monomode? Do you
know vendors? How does such a adapter effects the possible distance
between two stations?
