| | No overt dealings, just someone that has been away from notes for
    awhile.
Here is what happened when I called Chuck's line as requested in the
base note. Unfortunately, I did not take down any names but everyone
that I talked to was both friendly and quite helpful.
I never talked to Chuck, but did talk to an administrative person and
explained my problem, which was that DCU had decided to charge me a fee
for a credit card, which is something I refused to do and cancel my
card. And then I subsequently found out that if you had over 6k in all
your accounts that the fee would be waived, which when including my kids
accounts I meet the criteria for a no fee VISA.
The person I talked to on the phone took all the information down, and
indicted that she would get back to me very shortly. Within a day someone
else got back to me with the information. When DCU looks at a
account and all their subaccounts they do a match on not only the
account number, but the address as well. It seems my son's address was
not the same as mine, therefore, his savings did not go toward the 6k
number. I don't know how is address got messed up, but they corrected
the address and ask if I wanted a new card. I
indicated that I would be glad to get a new card, but if they ever try
charge me a fee again, that I will cut it up and send it back, because I
already have both a VISA and a MC from other institution that have a
guarantee of no-fee for life. I want to suppor the DCU, but I also
want the best deal I can fine.
So all in all, I am very please with the service from the DCU on this
matter, and I apologize for not detailing this sooner.
Now, the second task is for the DCU to streamline their loan
applications. Why do I or anyone who has had loans with the DCU in the
past and have not had any problems, have to fill out a complete loan
application every time. My bank has figured out how to do it, as well
as the finascinal company I got my last car loan from. They asked a few
question, ask me to sign a loan form swearing that the information I gave
them was true, and then gave me the loan. They have figured out that by
using credit reports and a few verifying pieces of information, to grade
the credit worthiness of someone. DCU needs something like this!
PS, Paul, thanks for looking into the VISA issue. I appreciate the
    support
