Does anybody know the legal limits/terms of the the following for a DCU
VISA card:
Mail order company goes belly up AFTER charging the card (assumeably
receiving payment from DCU)

My understanding is that per Federal Law you cannot be forced to
pay on your credit card for goods and services that you did not
receive. Document your case and work it with the issuer of the
card.

Absolutely right. You should always pay for items for which you don't
take TOTAL possession with a credit card. Items such as plane tickets,
health club memberships, etc. In this way the credit card company
becomes the creditor to the issuer of the product, not you. At least
you get something for those high interest rates...
