    When I got home this evening I found a copy of my statement of account
    for the period ending 12-31-91 in my mail box with the following
    enclosure:
    
    			MEMBER ACCOUNT VERIFICATION
    
    Dear Member:
    
    We are presently conducting an examination of the financial statements
    of your credit union.  In connection with the examination, your account
    has been selected for verification.
    
    Please review the enclosed statement for any errors.  If an error is
    noted, contact our auditors within ten (10) days by completing and
    returning this slip.  Explain the exception fully on the reverse side
    or attach a separate sheet.  Remember that loan payments or share
    deposits received by the credit union after the as of date will not be
    included on your statement.  IF THE INFORMATION IS ACCURATE, YOU NEED
    NOT RESPOND.
    
    DO NOT SEND PAYMENTS OR ADDRESS CORRECTIONS WITH THIS VERIFICATION,
    SEND THESE ITEMS DIRECTLY TO THE CREDIT UNION FOR THEIR PROCESSING.

    The envelope requested forwarding and address correction.  The
    statement is accurate, so I do nothing.

    Standard operating procedures. I get these all the time
    from financial organizations I do business with.

    This is a requirement of the Bylaws.
    
    I wonder if this is the new accounting firm that Chuck Cockburn hired
    for auditing?  Wonder if they have an east coast office?
