I am looking for some information on Credit Repair. A younger brother
is having a hard time buying his first new car. Having a credit card at
college didn't help him at all. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Beware. MOST, but not all credit repair operations are nothing more than ripoffs and sometimes suggest illegal means to fix credit. I suspect from what you say, that he was less than prompt with his credit card payments while in college. A lot of times, even if you don't have bad credit, you need a cosigner for your first car loan. Bob | |||||

I am not sure where you reside, but there is a Consumer Credit Counsel
in Boston that helps those who have gotten in over their heads. The
telephone number is (617)426-6644. They are open M-F from 9-5. they
will give you a free consultation session. They will contact all your
creditors and try to get your monthly payments reduced to something
more manageable. They will set up a budget for you for $25 and even
write the checks out for $10/month. But they may also request you
cancel all your credit cards.
