| I thought that it has addressed many of the questions that we have
asked here and is a big step in right direction.
It did, however; bring up an old question of mine in resonding to
another question. Mark stated that the number of changes in the
variable rate has been low since they had been able to keep the
"margin" between borrowing money and loaning money to between 3
and 4 % if memory serves me correctl. That margin is what they
use for the expenses of running the DCU.
My question is if you compare this margin to a bank and they have
the same types of costs PLUS they must return a profit to their
stockholders of at least six percent. Since the DCU does not
have to deal with the profit, they should be much more competitive
with their rates.
If I am missing somthing here, perhaps sombody can help me understnad
it please ???

the communication is funney here if you think about it.
The chairman of the board gets our data we put here, and
the PR man answers it ala John Tilley.
Now think about it, IF John was doing his job, would we be airing
dirty laundry here? Question to the chairman: why don't YOU
answer? Why don't you reply? Can't YOU read between the lines?
just my opinion and fustrations.

Second the motion - I have found John Tilley answers generally of the
form "state the obvious, and don't reply to anything else". I did get
a number of straight answers from a board member once, and posted them
here. (I don't have her name handy) she mentioned she was going to
learn how to write notes, as opposed to just read them, but I haven't
seen any board members write in this file. My question to the board
would be:
You're all DIGITAL employees (I believe), and have (or can get) access
to this file. Why not take the < 10 min per day that the rest of us
do to follow and contribute to this file? Extra burden? Or very
efficient aid to being successful in your position?
If you feel this file isn't representative of or followed by a large
amount of the DCU population, I suggest that if you follow this file,
and make known that you're doing so, that more people will contribute.

| Jeff, YOU HAVE A GREAT IDEA! Just why can't the BOD get involved
here? one way to effectively see what we want prior to voting on
issues. Why not post BOD adgenda here?
Or do *they* know everything, and we know nothing?
