Hi,

a customer of mine cannot start some applications on CDE environment :

1) When he clicks on APPLICATION MANAGER icon , he gets a message box 
   where he can read the following error message:

   action : application manager [error]

   the request to service this action has failed for the following reason
    TT_ERR_PROCID the process ID passed is not valid 

2) When he clicks on FILE MANAGER icon , he gets a message box where he can
   read the following error message:

    file manager open directory error  
    invalid folder specification , /

3) When he clicks on TRASH icon , he gets a message box where he can read the
   following error message:

    file manipulation error 
    cannot read from /.dt/Trash

All the users on the system get the above problems .


The customer has already done the following actions : 

1) He created a new user 

2) He removed the subdirectories of /usr/var/dt/appconfig/appmanager

3) He removed and reinstalled all the CDE subsets 

4) he checked all the protections on the directory ( with all subdirectory)
   /usr/var/dt 

None of the above actions solved the problems .
