| 2098.1 | Ultimate Sailing Screensaver | POWDML::HO | Fri Dec 30 1994 09:18 | 7 | |
| There was something I saw (or imagined) while Christmas shoppingstmat
about a screensaver with pictures from the Ultimate Sailing
    Calendar.

Anyone else see this? If so, do you remember how to get it?

Yup I have it, it is more than a screen saver. It has a slide
viewer, wall paper changing capability, and a jumble puzzle. Cost if
$15 for the first 22 images, and $13 for all other images. Call
Windward productions at 203-254-3033. The screen collections are:

    	Ultimate Screen Saver
    	Thrills & chills
    	Flying Colors

It burns about 4Mb, 2Mb for the software to driver everything, and
another 2Mb for images. They are 256 color high images and look quite
nice. I have it on my notebook at work, and it can only do 16 colors
so the images are not all that dramatic. Still a nice screen save and
the price is not unreasonable. I am thinking of getting the Thrills
    and Chills images.

| I also got it. It really needs a S-VGA color screen to impress you. On
a VGA monitor it is really snowy.

It also eats a cpu when decompessing images, so you really want to
extend the time between changing wallpaper. This is esspecially true
on a small 386 type machine.

It any of you come to the confab in a couple of weeks, you can see it first
    hand on my home machine.
