1916.0. "K-Class wooden sloop info?" by CIVIC::COUTURE (Gary Couture - NH Sales Support) Mon Aug 24 1992 10:23
I have been looking for a small sailbot to play around with on the lakes here
in NH. I have come across an unusual but very nice looking boat and I was
wondering if anyone has any experience with them. It is a 1971 "K Class"
wooden centerboard sloop. It is about 16+ feet, vary wide and shallow,
large center board. Apparently only 320 were built somewhere in the finger
lakes region. it has a spruce mast. I'm curious as to how easy this k-class
is to sail (I'm still fairly novice), what its reputation is, how much it is
WORTH, what to look out for, etc.
thanks
gary
