| Moorings are available in Salem Harbor. I know Darbie Landing (phone
745-3061) had plenty of moorings available. For a 30 footer you're
talking about $600 for the Summer season. Pickering Wharf seems
to share the same mooring area, they have a launch service.

| Jubilee YC has about a 5-year waiting list for membership. If you plan
to be in the area for a while you might want to put your name on the
list and take a mooring in Salem Harbor temporarily.
Jubilee is what I call a "working person's yacht club". No yachting
snobs. Their current rates are around $350/year plus a 20 hour work
assessment (i.e. helping get the docks in or some other "maintenance"
function around the club).
I've also heard that there is mooring space available in Salem Harbor.
There's a launch service over off of West Shore Drive that services the
area.

| Salem Willows YC is at the mouth of the Danvers, near the beginning
of the channel. There is typically a short wait list, but mooring
space is getting filled. There may be a moratorium on new members
this year as a result.
Club offers:
Launch service
Kitchen
Heads and shower
Parking
Growing social calendar and informal racing
no bar or meal service
low dues ($120/yr+-) plus 10 hours work
growing sail membership
Contact Wil Dobbins, membership chair. I think he lives in Woburn
and will get a phone number.

I spoke to Will over the weekend. The wait list is now more like
4-5 years!! space is tight all over.

| For a mooring in Salem Harbor call the Harbormasters: Salem or
Marblehead, depending which side of the harabor you wish to be on.
There os a launch service available for either side. The Harbormaster
will also tell you whether a mooring has been abandoned, and where
you must place one if you decide to buy one. If the Harbormaster's
phone is not listed, call the appropriate police dept. and ask them
for the number. I spent 10 years on the Marblehead side of the
harbor.
