| | My Sony camcorder Ni-Cad battery would not take a charge - after years of
use. Duracell makes a Nickel-hydride universal battery which they claim
works with many brands of camcorders. The 1800 mA battery is about the
size & weight of my original Sony battery (1000 mA).

Does anyone have feedback on nickel-hydride technology ?

| | It works well - has been in use for several years in laptop computers.
Nickel-hydride does have some memory problems, but less so than Ni-Cad.
