| I've got a 96 Honda Odyssey. The rear suspension is spring with
shocks. I've had a situation recently when hauling 6 adults, the
top rear shock mount starts to squeak/groan. It occurs when
going around a corner (the van "lists" somewhat during this
maneuver), or when going over a bump and the shock is expanding
back out. All mounts are tight. The top mount is a single threaded
shaft. Could this be a sign of the top mount not tight enough,
getting worn (only 14K miles), or in need of some sort of lubrication?
This isn't germain to the Odyssey - but rather rear shocks with
the single-bolt shaft mount on top.
thanks,
andy
