Does anyone have any info on the PERL language? I am looking for the following if anyone can help: 1. description of the PERL language 2. Sources for PERL for VMS, MSDOS, etc. 3. Code samples, etc. There is a news group on PERL on Usenet but was hoping to find some stuff on our net first. Thanks... --chas

Anonymous ftp to gatekeeper.dec.com will get you the perl source kit and lots of extensions. If you don't have IP, then DECWRL:: will get you to the same place. Look in the file DECWRL::"/pub/Index-byname" or DECWRL::"/pub/Index-bytime" for the string "perl". -Jeff | |||||

Chas/
If you have DCL access to Easynet, you can grab a DOS PERL from
WINNAH.
The spec is WINNAH::"/ftp/msdos/perl/*". If you're copying from
there thou', you have to copy each file separately, as it's a UNIX box
and doesn't support wildcards in the same way VMS does.
If you have any prob, drop a line and we'll arrange something.
Dave.
