dec c v5.2-003, ovms v7.1, alpha, ucx Has anyone seen any problems with errno or strerror not being totally thread safe? I have a customer who is getting occassional 'connection refused' errors from a call to socket, which doesn't make sense. He is running in a multi-threaded process, and was wondering if perhaps strerror is getting confused. I have suggested that he call decc$set_reentracy, even though it is my understanding that it should not be necessary. I am also asking about this in the ucx notes conference. Thanks, Jerry

Jerry,
We have not heard of any problems in this area. I also did not
notice any new notes in the UCX conference.

Duane,
Thanks for the update. The note I posted in lassie::ucx is
5466. So far, there are not replies.
I will ask the customer for a small reproducer.
