| | How do you measure that 70%? If you have DFG (PFO) installed,
        how about posting

        $ defragment show/volume/files 'device'

| | I have only captured DEFRAGMENT SHOW only,

    DISK$X400MAIL 7-MAR-1997 17:33:28.76

    The fragmentation index is 88.8
                     1 - 20.9 is excellent
                    21 - 40.9 is good
                    41 - 60.9 is fair
                    61 - 80.9 is poor
                    81 - 100 indicates a badly fragmented disk
Approximately 68.8 (out of 80.0 possible) is due to file fragmentation
Approximately 20.0 (out of 20.0 possible) is due to freespace fragmentation

    Any idea?

    Thanks and regards,
    Denis

| | This reveals that your free space is badly fragmented. But also
there is fairly heavy file fragmentation issue. Without any more
evidence (like names of heavily fragmented files and number of
extents in those) it is not really possible to say anything
        more.
