If this has been addressed elsewhere in this conference forgive, I did
try to find if it had.
Can someone please clarify for me, is the current version of Mail
Works for OpenVMS is that last release? If that is true, then my clinet
should be preparing for Office Server. Is that true as well?
Thanks.

I'm afraid I don't know your first name but you will not see another version of MailWorks on OpenVMS. One of the major goals of OfficeServer is to provide a platform for this user base to move to and we are providing migration tools in the OfficeServer kit to enbale this. Presentations about this have been given around the World for the past year or so. If you need some supporting literature to show your customers then let me know. The market name will be: DIGITAL Office Server for OpenVMS V4.0 Regards, Dave Holt, OfficeServer PM | |||||

Thanks Dave.
I am working with a client who is struggling with a life after Mail
Works decision. They know about Office Server, but they have also not
been thrilled with Digital and Mail Works recently. Lack of Sales
attention from Digital is a problem. The every recipient gets a copy of
a message rather than one shared per server is a major irritant about
Mail Works for them. The lack of an easy way to relate read reciepts
to the original message subject also is an irritant.
Steve.

We cannot use the term OfficeServer (one word) because of trademark issues, therefore the market name of the first release and all the packaging will be: DIGITAL Office Server for OpenVMS V4.0 We still use the development name of OfficeServer, or Oserver or OSVR internally though the engineering code name is Nimbus (confused? - you should be). During installation of Office Server and other times when the system manager is administering the systems the term displayed will be Office Server. The idea is that the name DIGITAL Office Server will appeal to the ALL-IN-1 Office Server community and the MailWorks community that may have made an earlier conscious decision to buy MailWorks and not ALL-IN-1. DOS for VMS, I like that...
>though the engineering code name is Nimbus (confused? - you should be).
I want to bet a sixpack Grimbergen that the name will change
at least two times before SSB.

LinkWorks, EBD, Teamroute, Epic ,Decwrite, OSF, Unix, have to go
