    Has anyone tried Shoarma in Holland...if so has anyone ever tried to
    make the meat ie.what spices do you use to flavour it....your help
    would be muchg appreciated.

The title of a note can be changed by a moderator or by the author of
the note. You can change it yourself with SET NOTE/TITLE="xxxxx".

    I attempted to make some over the weekend....got an 'off-the-kuff'
    recpie from some Turkish guy I know.It turned out quite good after
    marinating for about 4 hours.
    
    I will get a proper recipe from him on the weekend after he consults
    with some friends.

    Shawarma is the Arab name for something delightful I know as doner
    kebab (Turkish name).  This is also known as Gyros (Greek name).  There
    are two topics about this in here already:  Gyros at 728 and Shawarma
    at 3424.  I am entering a note about the marinade in 3424 today.
