| | Magnalite is a brand name of a professional pan maker. The magnalite
    pans that I have a very heavy cast alum with an anodized coating.

    I also have some Magnapro pans which are 18/10 stainless steel.

| 3458.2 | Sounds like one of the "original" Magnalite pans | SHARE::RICHARDSON | welcome to our 1st annual bizarre | Wed Feb 12 1992 14:26 | 6 |
| | It is probably one of the original Magnalite pans. These were a
    magnesium/aluminum alloy that provided the heat transmission of
    aluminum pans without the weight. Mine are quite lightweight and
    have proven very durable.

| 3458.3 | IMO They are Great | WMOIS::BOHNET_B |  | Thu Feb 13 1992 13:39 | 10 |
| | I have had 4 Magnalite pans for over 30 years, they were second hand
    when I got them, They are easy to clean, and light weight. I have
    never had a problem with things burning in them. I have seen them a
    couple of times, and the newer ones are EXPENSIVE..... If you don't
    want them, I might be interested.

    I am slowly trying no decrease the amount of 'stuff' that I have around
    the house. We are considering a smaller place.

    (like last year) ordered their large roaster... I think they were in
    Indiana, but that's only a guess.
