|  |     From the "Joy of Cooking" (I've never made this)
    
    Combine in a saucepan:
         1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
       1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
         1/8 teaspoon salt
    Stir in:
        1 cup fresh cider or beer
      1/4 cup raisins, cut in halves
    Put in a cheesecloth bag and hang it in the cooking sauce from the edge
    of the pan:
        8 whole cloves
        1 two-inch stick cinnamon
    Cook and stir for about 10 inuts.  Add:
        1 tablespoon butter
    Remove the spices.  Serve the sauce very hot.

    If you had done a DIR/TIT=Raisin you would not have found your
    recipes, but had you gone just a few steps further to DIR/TIT=Ham
    you would have found 3 recipes in 717 and 1215.

|  |     I have found a real easy way to get raisin sauce without going
    through the hastle of many ingredients and directions.  Just heat
    canned raisin pie filling in a sauce pan and voila!
