I don't know if this will translate across the pond, perhaps other UK
    noters can help if not...

Does anyone have a good recipe for Malt Loaf?

It's basically a bread, but contains sultanas and is much more dense,
    and sticky.

    Jane.

| I know I have one in an English cookbook I brought over with me. I
will check it out and post it for you (I know it needs Malt extract
and I am not sure where you could buy this). I live in the Nashua N.H
area. Just as a point of interest for anyone else still craving for
this bread as I do, I have a few trips to Montreal and stock up from
    Marks & Spencers. Good luck.

| Barley malt, a syrupy sweetener, can be found in most health food
    stores.
