| | Actually, I just bought a bottle of Thai Spicy Peanut Dressing
at Idylwilde Farms yesterday. I haven't tried it yet, so I
don't know how it tastes. If I think of it, though, I'll type
	in the list of ingredients.
	Take care,
	Tara

| | I'd like to repeat the original request... when sailing last summer a
guest (living in Mexico) mixed a jar of peanut butter with some "hot
sauce" that we munched with veggy sticks.. it was delicious.

Although I normally eschew packaged mixes, I have found the 'Taste
of Thai' line to be exceptionally good. They offer both a Spicy Peanut
Sauce, which is made by simmering the contents of the packet with
coconut milk, and a Thai Peanut Salad Dressing, which is made using
    water.

I have seen various items in this line at Victory Markets, Shop 'n Save,
Shaws, Idylwide Farms (Acton), and Duck Soup (Sudbury).

| | I suspect this is close to what you are looking for. It
uses an Indonesian sause called Kecap Manis (I think pronounced
like Ketchup, likely the basis for name of the US product).
We get this at a local Chinese/Import food store. there are several
    varieties, all quite different.
this is great as a dip for raw vegetables.
    Sambal Kacang (Peanut Dip)
1/2 cup Peanut Butter (prefer crunchy)
    1/4 cup Kecap Manis
    2 Tbs hot water
1 Tbs fresh lemon or lime juice
    1 tsp sugar
1 tsp crushed fresh or dried hot red Chili
    1 garlic clove
Combine PButter, Manis, hot water, juice, sugar, chili, and garlic
in Food Processor or blender and puree coarsely using on/off.
Transfer to serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate
Bring to Room Temp before serving
