 I did a search on Hickory and nothing came up so....

  Has any one ever made a Hickory Nut cake?  My boss is trying to make one
  for her father.  She has *a* recipe, but there are no hints as to what
  type of frosting would be appropriate.  

   I'd be interested in any recipes for a Hickory Nut cake and/or icing for
   such.

    For frosting, I'd suggest a buttercream flavored with Frangelico
    (hazelnut liqueur).
